I have no real evidence for this: two energies I sense in dialogue in the living world—Harmony + Evolution—and I long to understand them beyond the limitations of abstraction. Words are little metaphors for human thought, but are not thoughts real? How might I work through the existing tension that moves somewhere between the ebb and flow of music and beauty and that life[push] toward newness, growth, ethos. A living system too comes in quite the paradox: for it is composed of creatures whose physical beings terminate, and yet, the living system itself keeps on, continually changing toward the next phase of its life, still composed of itself—life.
